What is AAC?

AAC, or Augmentative and Alternative Communication, is a system designed to support people’s total communication needs. Some AAC is low-tech, or made from printed materials on laminated pages or books, and high-tech AAC includes technological devices used for communication, including symbol-based and text-based apps.
